Fenerbahçe (Turkey) 2008 Home kit
Ziya Songülen and Necip Okaner officially founded Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu a century ago in 1907 on Beşbıyık Street in Moda. The club had to be kept under wraps because of the strict Ottoman rule under Sultan Abdul Hamid, where Turkish youth were not allowed to set up clubs or play football.[14] Songülen was elected the first president of the club, Ayetullah became the first General Secretary, and Okaner was given the post of the General Captain. The lighthouse situated on the Fenerbahçe cape was a big influence on the design of the club's first emblem, which sported the yellow and white colors of daffodils around the lighthouse. The kits were also designed with yellow and white stripes. The emblem and colors of the club were changed in 1910 when Topuz Hikmet redesigned the badge and changed the colors to yellow and navy, still seen today. Fenerbahçe's activities were kept in secrecy until a legislation reform in 1908, when, under a new law, all football clubs had to register to exist legally.

FC Red Bull Salzburg (Austria) 2008 Away kit
FC Red Bull Salzburg was founded on September 13, 1933, as SV Austria Salzburg. In 1978, the name was changed to SV Casino Salzburg and in 1997 to SV Wüstenrot Salzburg. Red Bull bought the club on April 6, 2005 and rebranded it (see below). Famous players who played for the club include Oliver Bierhoff, Thomas Häßler, Toni Polster and Niko Kovač.After the takeover, Red Bull changed the club's name, management and staff, declaring "this is a new club with no history". Red Bull initially claimed on the club website that the club was founded in 2005, but was ordered to remove this claim by the Austrian FA. Although the official colours in the statutes are still violet and white, no trace of violet can be found in the club's new logo and the team plays in the new colours red and white. This complete re-branding of the team is very similar to Red Bull's treatment of its two Formula One racing teams, Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso. However, Red Bull would not completely follow this precedent when it acquired the MetroStars club in Major League Soccer in the USA; while it rebranded the team Red Bull New York, it chose to recognise the MetroStars' history.
