Fenerbahçe (Turkey) 2008 Home kit

Ziya Songülen and Necip Okaner officially founded Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu a century ago in 1907 on Beşbıyık Street in Moda. The club had to be kept under wraps because of the strict Ottoman rule under Sultan Abdul Hamid, where Turkish youth were not allowed to set up clubs or play football.[14] Songülen was elected the first president of the club, Ayetullah became the first General Secretary, and Okaner was given the post of the General Captain. The lighthouse situated on the Fenerbahçe cape was a big influence on the design of the club's first emblem, which sported the yellow and white colors of daffodils around the lighthouse. The kits were also designed with yellow and white stripes. The emblem and colors of the club were changed in 1910 when Topuz Hikmet redesigned the badge and changed the colors to yellow and navy, still seen today. Fenerbahçe's activities were kept in secrecy until a legislation reform in 1908, when, under a new law, all football clubs had to register to exist legally

They have never won the UEFA European Football Championship, however, though they have promised for years to do so. Traditionally, England's greatest rivals have been Scotland.[2] England's most recent meeting with Scotland was a Euro 2000 play-off in November 1999, which Scotland won 1-0 at Wembley Stadium (although England won the two-legged tie 2-1 on aggregate). Since regular fixtures against the Scots came to an end in the late 1980s, other rivalries have become more prominent. England–Argentina and England–Germany are rivalries that have produced particularly eventful encounters.

The Scotland national football team represents Scotland in international football and is controlled by the Scottish Football Association. The team has played international football longer than any other nation in the world along with England, who they played in the world's first international football match at the West of Scotland Cricket Club, Partick, in 1872. The match ended in a goalless draw.[1]. All eleven players who represented Scotland that day played for proud Glasgow amateur club Queen's Park. Scotland has always had its own representative side that plays in all the major professional tournaments, except for the Olympic Games as the IOC only recognises the United Kingdom. Some of Scotland's most famous results include, in 1967, defeating the World Cup holders England 3-2 at Wembley Stadium and, in the 1978 World Cup, beating one of the tournament favourites, the Netherlands, 3-1 with Archie Gemmill scoring a famous goal. Some fans jovially claim the 1967 victory against England made Scotland the unofficial world champions. This joke ultimately led to the conception of the Unofficial Football World Championships. Interestingly, Scotland have won more UFWC title matches than any other side.
