FC Girondins de Bordeaux is a French football team, playing in the city of Bordeaux.The club was founded in 1881 as an omnisport club. The Girondins won the French league in 1950, 1984, 1985, 1987, and 1999. The club plays the home-matches in the Stade Chaban Delmas, named after the former mayor of Bordeaux, Jacques Chaban-Delmas.
