Canada Nat.Team 2008 Home kit
The Canadian men's national soccer team, overseen by the Canadian Soccer Association, has experienced little international success. In its first and only FIFA World Cup appearance to date in 1986, the team failed to score a goal. They finished bottom of their group and were the worst performing team in the tournament. The Canadian team, however, has enjoyed success in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, surprisingly winning the tournament in 2000 and advancing to the semifinals in 2002. However, thoughts that the side was emerging as a soccer power were at least temporarily discarded with a poor showing in the qualification rounds for the 2006 FIFA World Cup where it failed to reach the final stage of CONCACAF qualifying.
